High Expectations - St Paul's Catholic Parish Camden New South Wales

With high expectations and a vision and a plan for the future St Paul’s under the leadership of their Parish Priest Fr. Michael Williams undertook a Planned Growth Mission with the theme ‘Ready to Share’ conducted by Planned Giving Counsellors.
The challenge of the program was firmly based on the spiritual need of the giver to respond in thanksgiving to God.
The program was presented in a positive way with a number of new and innovative changes to its format that included:
- A ‘phone contact team’ to make contact with all families/parishioners, a Parish Thanksgiving Gathering – a time of reflection and prayer with a presentation of the present and future goals of the Parish.
- The Mission Director speaking at all Masses and the use of well prepared audio visuals in meetings and Masses.
- Fr Michael made the comment that the Mission Director brings experience, commitment and skill in helping the Parish to achieve the best possible result. The Planned Growth Mission new people becoming involved and resulted in a 100% increase over and above the previous level of committed giving.
