Love came down at Christmas

Submitted by Ron on Wed, 23/11/2011 - 8:23pm

A simple yet profound love came in the Holy Family at Bethlehem.

So we meet annually, at least, and spend time together sharing so much : listening and hearing each other, giving love, giving loyalty and assurances, and forgiveness to that family member we have shunned, that son or daughter we have taken for granted, that parent, relation, or even neighbour we keep putting off.

“And to all that matters to us…as a world family.” Peace and Goodwill while others in our world family suffer is an injustice contradicting the family nature of all life under God.

Can we honesty sing “Glory to God in the Highest” and close our mind to earthy events, poverty, homelessness, and disease and such to so many.

So Christmas is a giving season, but giving where the need is Greatest.. Our gifts are expressions of our love…the true love that reaches those whose need is so great.

And God’s love in and through us abounds and abounds.
