Christ Church North Adelaide
The Planned Growth Mission conducted at Christ Church North Adelaide was tailored to suit what is a busy and alive city church in the heart of Adelaide. The vision of Christ Church is focused on the growth of the parish through Worship, Pastoral Care, Education, Outreach & Stewardship.
The Rector, The Rev'd Lyndon Sulzberger, said when launching the program "Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God. we are called to share our gifts of our talents, our time, and our treasure with others, that God's grace might be manifested in us for his glory".
The need of the giver to give and to give with a full and proper understanding is at the heart of stewardship. We need to catch a vision of joyful and sacrificial giving to enable the church to move ahead.
Christ Church has initiated a number of new programs that must be maintained and extended.
Fr. Lyndon said "Mission planning is about building on the foundation of what our forebears have done by God's grace. It is about looking forward, and planning for what is at the forefront of opportunities which we have in our time.
There are now a number of property concerns that need to be urgently addressed - the parish hall needs re-roofing - combating rising damp - salt damp and fretting stone.
While we thank God for the goodly heritage we have received from former parishioners which we enjoy today. It is now our turn to ensure that whate we have received we will pass on to those who come after us".
