Stewardship - Planned Growth Mission

Fully Directed Planned Growth Mission

What’s involved in getting started….

A phone call to toll-free 1800 334 140 or e-mail to ron,cameron@plannedgiving.com.au is all that’s required to arrange for a cost free Planning Meeting.

The planning meeting has the following core objectives:

  • To involve clergy and lay people in a discussion on the vision and needs of the parish to be supported by the proposed Planned Growth Mission.
  • To test the readiness of the clergy and parishioners to participate in a programme.
  • To identify the issues, concerns and hopes that the clergy and lay people have relative to the proposed programme.
  • To recommend a financial goal.

The Programme and Preparation

We work with you to develop your Planned Growth Mission to suit your particular needs.

Here’s what we do:

We visit the parish to conduct a preparatory meeting. This meeting has particular reference to leadership enlistment, the formation of three sub-committees: Admisnistration & Listing – Vision Budget & Publicity and Thanksgiving Dinner or Function Arrangments.

We provide the parish with a unique resource on CD GrowthPac Plus 2011and a printed Preparations Manual.

Highlights of the programme include:

Volunteer visitors making contact with all families personal visit or by phone in the lead-up to Thaksgiving Weekend.

Thanksgiving Dinner or Functions such as a Thanksgiving Celebration Gathering/s being held prior to the the making of Thanksgiving Commitmets in church over the Thanksgiving Weekend.

The Programme and Education:

The programme is supported by extensive educational activities. Members need to be alerted to the need for their sacrificial and generous gifts.

At the same time, emphasis must be placed on one’s personal and corporate stewardship of time, talents and skills.

Stewardship education is a constant throughout the programme and a variety of media is used ranging from printed theme materials such as specially prepared pew bulletin sheets, vision brochures and power point presentations.

The Programme and Visitor Training:

The training sessions include general familiarisation with the process, an explanation of the steps involved in a successful visit.

Visitors receive promotional materials such as a Parish Directory and Vision Brochure to be left with and used during their discussions with each parishioner.

Visiting in the programme is not about asking for money. It is about sharing the vision of the parish and inviting parishioners to become involved.

Thanksgiving Services are held when all parishioners are invited to make their personal response by completing a Thanksgiving Card, bringing it forward, placing it in a basket and lighting a candle.

Extended fee payment schedule

An extended fee schedule of six equal payments is available over a period of up to 24 months.
